Noesis Supports Cybersecurity Debate at SimSIC

Digital regulation, NIS2, DORA, artificial intelligence, and the fight against disinformation were among the key topics discussed at SimSIC 2026, an event supported by Noesis

Noesis participated as a Silver Sponsor at SimSIC 2026, the 16th Symposium on Information Security and Cybercrime, organized by the UbiNET Lab of the Polytechnic Institute of Beja (IPBeja). Dedicated to the theme “Cybersecurity Regulation,” this year’s edition brought together experts, academia, companies, and public entities to discuss the technological and legal challenges associated with the evolution of cybersecurity and digital regulation.

Held on May 20 and 21 at IPBeja, SimSIC 2026 promoted a multidisciplinary discussion around today’s key cybersecurity and digital regulation challenges, combining technological, legal, ethical, and operational perspectives.

Throughout the agenda, topics such as the NIS2 Directive, the DORA regulation, GDPR, the European Media Freedom Act, the Digital Services Act, the European Artificial Intelligence Act, and the growing impact of disinformation and digital protection in an increasingly demanding business and institutional environment were highlighted.

The event also featured sessions on cybersecurity technologies, hands-on workshops, demonstrations, and applied exercises, bringing professionals, researchers, and students closer to real-world scenarios in digital security and cybercrime investigation.

Noesis’ participation in the event reinforces the company’s commitment to promoting cybersecurity, technological innovation, and knowledge sharing at a time when regulatory requirements and digital transformation challenges remain relevant. SimSIC 2026 also reaffirmed its role as an important platform connecting academia, companies, and public institutions, fostering critical discussion around the future of cybersecurity and digital regulation.
