Noesis reinforces its commitment to innovation and talent development by supporting the Projeto de Sustentabilidade em Engenharia Mecânica (PSEM), a student-led initiative from Instituto Superior Técnico, and by contributing to the evolution of its prototypes and to its participation in the Greenpower Challenge.
This international competition challenges students to design, build, and race their own electric vehicles, fostering skills in engineering, technology, and sustainability.
Noesis’ support has enabled the team to invest in essential components for its latest prototype, the GP25, as well as to cover part of the logistics associated with international competitions. As highlighted by Pedro Silva, PSEM Coordinator, partner support is critical to ensuring the project’s continuity and to enabling academic knowledge to be translated into applied technological development. PSEM is currently the only Portuguese team competing in the Greenpower Challenge and was the first and only non-UK team to win the International Championship title in the 2022/2023 season.
For the 2025/2026 season, the focus will be on evolving the GP25 into the GP25 EVO, introducing structural improvements to return to the International Final and compete for the championship title. At the same time, the team is beginning a new strategic cycle, preparing for the iLumen Solar Challenge, a European solar energy competition scheduled for 2028.
The collaboration between Noesis and PSEM highlights the importance of strong connections between the business and academic communities, promoting the practical application of knowledge and developing technical skills in real-world environments.
