To mark International Women's Day, Noesis is announcing a strategic partnership with LEAD Alliance and the Lisbon School of Engineering (ISEL) to implement the Girls For Girls (G4G) program, a global female leadership initiative created at the Harvard Kennedy School and currently active in 18 countries. The partnership reinforces the shared commitment of all three organizations to advancing gender equality and developing the next generation of women leaders in STEM.
As the program's institutional sponsor, Noesis will support the delivery of a Girls For Girls leadership bootcamp, creating a bridge between academia, industry, and public policy. The initiative aligns with the Portuguese Government's National Girls in STEM Program (2025), part of the National Digital Strategy and linked to the National Strategy for Equality and Non-Discrimination 2018–2030. Its goal is to attract, retain, and advance more women in science and technology through mentorship and strong support networks.
Implemented in Portugal by LEAD Alliance since 2020, Girls For Girls has already supported more than 300 participants representing over 20 nationalities. Built around the pillars of inspiration, learning, mentoring, and networking, the program fosters participants' personal and professional development, encourages reflection on the challenges faced by women in leadership positions, and helps build the confidence needed to lead across both the public and private sectors.
Throughout the bootcamp, participants will explore topics such as values-based decision-making, negotiation, communication, and courageous leadership, while benefiting from the guidance and experience of an established network of mentors.
This partnership builds on Noesis' ongoing commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities across the technology sector. Over the past few years, the company has actively supported initiatives encouraging more girls and women to pursue academic and professional paths in STEM, including Engineers for a Day and Technovation Girls. Through Girls For Girls, Noesis further strengthens this commitment by connecting academia with industry and investing in the development of future women leaders.
If you would like to become a mentor, alongside Noesis professionals, ISEL faculty members, and a network of inspiring leaders from G4G Portugal, you can register here. Mentor training will take place on September 11. You can also explore testimonials from previous mentors here.
