Noesis discusses cybersecurity at IT Security Conference 2026

In its fifth edition, the IT Security Conference welcomed Noesis as a Golden Partner, bringing together experts to discuss the key challenges facing the cybersecurity sector

Held in Lisbon on October 8, the IT Security Conference 2026 brought together cybersecurity specialists, security leaders, and technology executives to discuss the sector’s main trends and priorities. This year’s edition sold out its in-person capacity, welcoming around 600 attendees and highlighting the growing importance of cybersecurity for organizations.

As a Golden Partner, Noesis supported this year’s event. The agenda featured more than 30 sessions across two stages: the main auditorium and the Technical Tracks. Topics included artificial intelligence, automated attacks, third-party risk management, implementation of the NIS2 Directive, and operational resilience.

One of the conference highlights was the Fireside Chat “The Hardest Security Decisions Nobody Sees”, featuring José Gomes, IT Operations, Cloud & Security Associate Director at Noesis, Carlos Silva, CISO at Banco Santander, and Josué Delgado, CISO at Lusíadas Saúde.

During the discussion, the three experts explored the cybersecurity risks that are top of mind for the banking and healthcare sectors, sharing examples of decisions that may seem straightforward in theory but prove difficult to implement in practice. The session also examined the impact of artificial intelligence on organizational security and how this technology may change the way companies anticipate and respond to emerging threats.

Reflecting on the discussion, José Gomes said: “It became clear that cybersecurity is now a business resilience issue, and that compliance with DORA and NIS2 is the starting point, not the destination. This is the journey Noesis wants to take alongside its clients.”

Noesis’ participation in this year’s conference reinforces its commitment to knowledge sharing and to contributing to discussions on the priorities shaping organizational security in an ever-evolving threat landscape.
