Blockchain technology arose in association with a cryptocurrency, but it matured in less than a decade and started to be used in logistics, food traceability and, at least theoretically, in land registers or academic information. Our CTO, Nelson Pereira, gave his opinion on the subject, considering that “any industry can benefit from or be transformed by secure processes that connect peers, the basic principle of blockchain technology”.
