Once again, Noesis participated at CityHack, a 24-hour marathon event aimed at developing technological solutions for the cities, by recognizing, valuing and retaining talent, and also aiming to create conditions for the development of the proposed ideas.

This year the initiative, under the motto "This is Digital Transition", went virtual, on 30 and 31 May, and took place simultaneously in the cities of Castelo Branco, Guarda, Portalegre and Tomar. According to the organization, the event "was a success" with the participation of more than 100 students from Portugal, Germany, Ukraine and Brazil.

During one entire day, teams of students got together to find solutions to improve the quality of life in cities.

Rodolfo Bravo Pereira, Managing Director Netherlands at Noesis, appointed mentor in the Technology field, clarified all the doubts of the teams and shared advice.

FWD team, constituted of Instituto Superior Técnico and Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon students, was the winner with the "Welcome to Portugal – ChatBot” project that aims to implement a chatbot to support migrants when they arrive in Portugal, explaining in a simple way the bureaucratic process, and promoting social integration through activities related to the Portuguese culture.

The organization highlighted "the enthusiasm of the students that shared creative ideas, showing that they are aware of society's reality".

The event, which included workshops and game tournaments, was supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation within the scope of the Hack for Good Project, which is part of the Gulbenkian program for Cohesion and Social Integration.
