Altia Acquires IN2, Strengthening Its Presence in Catalonia

The company will expand its operations in the healthcare, social services, tourism, and transportation sectors.

Altia, a technology company listed on the BME (Bolsas y Mercados Españoles), the Spanish stock exchange for growing companies, has finalized the acquisition of 100% of the technology consulting firm IN2. With this acquisition, Altia strengthens its presence in Catalonia, adds over 150 new professionals (bringing the total number of employees to more than 4,000), and expands its portfolio of technology solutions in strategic sectors such as healthcare, social services, tourism, and transportation.

Headquartered in Barcelona with over 30 years of experience, IN2 is a technology consultancy that brings Altia a team with extensive expertise and an annual business volume of approximately €8 million. The company excels in delivering technology projects in key sectors like healthcare, social services, tourism, transportation, and Industry 4.0. IN2 has established itself as a leader in the digital transformation of private and public organizations, particularly in Catalonia, thanks to its innovation capacity and customer-focused approach.

Commitment, Knowledge, and Expertise

The integration of IN2 into Altia strengthens Altia's positioning in Catalonia, where it already operates, albeit with limited presence. This acquisition enhances the organization’s capabilities and expands its portfolio of technological solutions, enabling it to deepen relationships with existing clients and explore new opportunities with them. It also integrates a team that has demonstrated high levels of commitment, knowledge, and expertise—values that Altia fully embraces. This step consolidates the company’s growth trajectory and opens new paths for development in an increasingly competitive market.

"We are extremely pleased to integrate IN2’s talent and expertise into our organization with this acquisition, which allows us to strengthen our presence in Catalonia and expand our capabilities in key sectors," says Constantino Fernández, Chairman of the Altia Group. "IN2’s experience undoubtedly complements our value proposition and enhances our ability to deliver positive impacts to our clients. This step also reinforces our strategy to position ourselves as a technological leader in the national tech market."

Rafael Taulet, Executive Chairman of IN2, adds, "Our integration into Altia represents an opportunity to accelerate our growth and offer more comprehensive solutions to our clients. Over more than three decades, we have worked to develop a team with high technical and human expertise, and we know that this integration will allow us to amplify our work even further. Together, we can tackle larger projects and offer innovative, efficient solutions to the challenges of an increasingly complex market, while maintaining the values that have defined our success: commitment, quality, and client focus."

This acquisition is part of Altia’s expansion strategy as the company celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, further consolidating its position as a leader in the Spanish tech sector. Altia continues to pursue the diversification and growth of its services while maintaining a strong commitment to innovation, quality, and talent.
