Noesis has formally inaugurated its seventh office in Portugal, selecting Castelo Branco as its newest strategic location. This development follows the establishment of the Guarda office the previous week. The decision to launch another Excellence Center represents a pivotal achievement for the company, further underscoring its dedication to growth, innovation, and continued investment in Portugal's economy.
The official inauguration took place at the newly established premises, with attendance from Noesis' board, including CEO Alexandre Rosa, CTO Nelson Pereira, and CFO Luís Castro. The event was also honored by the presence of the Minister of the Presidency, António Leitão Amaro, the Mayor of Castelo Branco, Leopoldo Martins Rodrigues, the Vice President of Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, Nuno Castela, and the President of the Municipal Assembly of Castelo Branco, Jorge Neves, among other distinguished guests. Their participation highlighted the significance of this investment, not only for the company but also for the Beira Interior region and the national economy.
For Noesis, the decision to open another office in Portugal is a testament to its confidence in the country's economic landscape and skilled workforce. This project and its successful inauguration would not have been possible without the invaluable contribution and collaboration of everyone involved, and Noesis is counting on the support of the Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco in identifying young graduates who can strengthen our teams. Alexandre Rosa also expressed his gratitude, stating, "I would like to express my gratitude to the Mayor, Dr. Leopoldo Rodrigues, who from the very beginning made himself available and assisted us in achieving this goal. Without his dedication and commitment, this project would not have been possible, thank you very much. Lastly, I would like to thank the Minister for graciously traveling from Lisbon specifically to inaugurate this space, thank you very much".
The new facility is expected to create numerous job opportunities, attracting professionals in several areas of expertise, like Low Code, Quality Management, and DevOps & Automation, with the addition of around 30 new talents in the first year. Noesis has approximately 70 employees across the Beira Interior region, Covilhã, Guarda, and Castelo Branco. This move will also facilitate stronger collaboration with local educational institutions, particularly the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda, to foster talent development and research initiatives.
The opening of this office represents a significant boost for Castelo Branco's local economy and Mayor Leopoldo Martins Rodrigues, welcomed the investment, emphasizing its impact on employment and innovation: "It is a challenge but it's beneficial and positive for Castelo Branco, as well as for young people who, being from Castelo Branco, have here an opportunity to establish themselves in terms of employability and professional growth. Naturally, the City Council, as it does with other companies and projects, is available to respond to the needs of businesses and support their ambitions. We are talking about qualified jobs, often highly specialized, that add value to the region and contribute to the economy."
The Minister of the Presidency, António Leitão Amaro, also congratulated Noesis and expressed he's gratitude, saying that "these technological development projects, in a place where one can enjoy a higher quality of life, a different pace of life, better conditions, and greater accessibility to housing at more affordable prices, are proving to be a reality here. There is room for economic development based on technology in the interior of the country. I would say that perhaps the primary reason for our involvement is to set an example by recognizing a company that has chosen to grow and expand, not only after already being present in many locations across Portugal and the world, but for specifically choosing the interior of the country, creating new opportunities. For this, partnerships are essential, and it is an excellent opportunity to acknowledge two key regional and local partners who have joined this initiative. As Alexandre Rosa mentioned, these partners, the Municipality and the Instituto Politécnico, play a crucial role in providing fundamental support”.
As Noesis continues to expand, this latest opening marks another step in its commitment to innovation and sustainable business growth. The company's ongoing investments in Portugal are a strong indication of its trust in the country's potential as a leading business hub in Europe.
With the addition of the Castelo Branco office, Noesis now boasts a total of seven locations in Portugal: Lisbon, Coimbra, Porto, Covilhã, Proença-a-Nova, Guarda, and now Castelo Branco, solidifying even more its footprint in the country. The company looks forward to integrating with the local community, fostering economic development, and driving forward its mission of innovation and excellence.
